SEO is important because the billion internet users around the world visit websites not through typing the site URL in the address bar of the browser. They find websites they are looking for through search engines. This is the reason why there are lots of web entrepreneurs who prioritize the investment of this particular web tactic for their site. Higher ranking in the search engine results for the right keywords is half way towards ultimate success.

Twitter's been a pretty big buzz for over two years. As far as the search space, it acquired a search technology company last year and integrated it into their system, and are in the process of extending its reach and aggregation points. Does seem like it's been the one to watch for quite a while now, that's for sure. Exciting times. A little birdie told me that analysts expecting embedded ads should look at Twitterific's model and see how well that's doing, but to really watch for more progressive, innovative, and more sustainable moves involving things like Joost, Hulu, and WidgetBox-type collaborations. Wonder when the VCs will be all done tinkering with the models and turn this loose as an IPO?
